Collect accurate, detailed and timely data for all your project needs
Critigen utilizes the technologies of Land Surveying, Aerial Mapping, Hydrographic Surveying and 3-D Laser Scanning, four unique and inter-connected disciplines, to comprehensively provide our clients with the information and tools required to locate and visualize their critical infrastructure needs. As a divested division of CH2M HILL, we have provided the highest quality geospatial services to our clients for over 65 years, earning us one of the most enviable reputations in the industry. See below for more details on our full suite of geospatial services:
When documentation of existing conditions is required on a project, 3DLS, defined as the use of high-speed laser technology to provide accurate as-built/as-found information, saves time and money by capturing a large quantity of spatial information in a very short period of time. 3DLS acquires geometry and location information through remote scanning, making it particularly effective for measuring artifacts in high-density, inaccessible, or hazardous environments. The resulting product is a detailed, geometrically accurate, photorealistic documentation of physical environments, as they exist in reality.
Services include Planimetric Mapping, 3-D Modeling, BIM Validation, Architectural Restoration, Fabrication and Construction Inspection, Historical and Legal Archiving, As-Built Surveys, Site & Engineering Surveys, Rapid Prototyping and Animations. For more on 3DLS, contact Brad Oswald, PLS at +1 728.872.4090 or Brad.Oswald@critigen.com.
Aerial mapping makes reliable measurements of natural and manmade features on the earth’s surface from an aerial or space based platform. Critigen manages the consulting, production, conversion services and quality control to deliver price high-resolution imagery. Technologies include resource and geodetic grade GPS receivers, digital softcopy photogrammetric workstations, precision high-resolution photogrammetric scanner, LiDARgrammetry mapping and editing software, and 3-D feature collection and digital terrain modeling software.
Services include Detailed Project Planning & Specifications, Aerial Imagery Acquisition, DTM & Contour Generation, Planimetric Feature Mapping, Digital Orthophotography Production, CAD & GIS Mapping Services, LiDAR Processing and QA/QC, and 3D Visualizations. For more on aerial mapping contact Dave Hendrickson at +1 530.229.3263 or Dave.Hendrickson@critigen.com.
Land surveying accurately determines the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them. Critigen leverages various high technology instruments and software to perform a detailed study of data to provide a legal, accurate, certified, and defendable product to support planning, designing, and establishing property boundaries. Critigen uses CAD platforms, data management programs, coordinate transformation engines, and experienced talent to exceed client standards.
Services include various surveys (Planning & Routing, Design, Topographic, Boundary, ALTA/ACSM Land Title), Right of Way Research & Mapping, Control Networks, Survey Project Management, Program Specifications, Subcontractor Oversight, Quality Control Reviews, Record of Surveys & Final Mapping, Land Divisions/Monumentation, Construction Support Services, Legal Descriptions and Certifications. For more on land surveying contact Gordon Anderson, PLS at +1 720.872.4220 or Gordon.Anderson@critigen.com.
Hydrographic surveying is the science of measurement, definition, and description of underwater features which affect and aid maritime navigation, marine construction, dredging, offshore oil exploration and drilling industries. Allowing for a greater understanding of benthic habitat, hydrographic surveying can also be used for biological studies, marine conservation, and natural resource management.
Services include Singlebeam or Multibeam Bathymetry and Underwater Sonar Acoustics for Port Channel Clearance, Ship Docking Facilities, River Tributaries, Dredging Operations, Sea-floor Mapping, Underwater Bridge Analysis, Debris Research and Recovery, Bathymetric and Contour Maps, Cross Section Plots, Volume Computations, Shoaling Analysis and 3-D Visualizations & Animations. For more on hydrographic surveying contact David Mills at +1 361.290.5836 or David.Mills@critigen.com.
Critigen’s professionals consist of registered civil engineers, licensed land surveyors, ASPRS-certified photogrammetrists, GIS/LIS scientists, GIS analysts, GIS programmers, digital imaging specialists, 3-D stereo plotter operators, computer programmers, and mapping technicians.
